The door panels are marked and the holes are cut for the switches. We are mounting the switches right over the old crank handle holes. The sheet metal must also be cut in the door. This hole is cut approximately twice the size of the switch mounting hole. We used a couple layers of duct tape to cover the sharp edges in the door. The wiring connector is led up through this hole and the wiring is secured to the door to prevent it from getting caught in the moving window mechanism.
