MES door locks are available in rod or cable style kits.
Central locking kit. Your existing lock knobs and door key activate the system. Locking or unlocking either of the front doors will automatically lock or unlock all of your vehicle's doors.

TW kits can be easily configured for use with rod or cable systems.
Central locking kit. Your existing lock knobs and door key activate the system. Locking or unlocking either of the front doors will automatically lock or unlock all of your vehicle's doors.

New design makes actuator linkage adjustment and alignment easier than the MES kit.
Low friction actuators mean less resistance added to factory linkage.
Compact actuator design. Takes less space to mount than the MES gun style actuators.
Reliable actuators have extremely low defect rate.

ROD VS CABLE

Door lock latches and locks are connected to the inside knob with either a rod or a cable. Prior to model year 2000, almost all cars and trucks used rod style mechanisms. From the mid 2000's, almost all import cars and trucks started using cables to connect the lock knob to the latch. Many of the later American cars are now using cable mechanisms. Note, however, that many American trucks (Ford and Chevy) still use rod style linkage in their doors. In many later vehicles, pulling off a door panel is the only sure way to tell.

The TW Series kits are designed to be used with rod or cable linkage with the simple addition of a cable bracket for cable installations.

MES has one system for rod linkage and a different system for cable linkage that has unique door lock actuators and hardware.

KEYLESS ENTRY

Our door lock kits are available in complete kits with keyless entry systems and with alarm/keyless entry systems for the ultimate in convenience. Our systems are also compatible with any keyless entry, alarm or remote start system that has pulsed negative door lock/unlock outputs.

OPTIONAL SWITCHES

The 2 switches shown to the right are available for use with our MES door lock kits. They are not necessary for proper operation, but add convenience in some vehicles where the lock knobs are difficult to reach. Switch dimensions are available on our switches page.
