Installing an Electric Life EL12-K Street Rod Power Window Kit in a 1959 Volvo. Page 17 |

The tube with the fixed grommet at the end is installed onto the body side and the round grommet is installed in the door. The wiring is passed from inside the door, through the grommet and then through the loop into the cavity behind the kick panel. The loop is then fed in the grommet. The loop should slide freely in the grommet. When the door is closed the loop should slide into the door. The wiring is routed with a sweeping curve in the bottom of the door so the wire loop doesn't bind when the door is opened and closed.
