Typical Examples of Power Door Lock Installations
The following photos show door lock actuators installed in various vehicles.

door lock in 2000 Chevy Pickup This door lock actuator is being held in the approximate mounting position that it will be fastened in a 2000 Chevy Silverado Pickup. Our installer will use the strap that comes with the kit to span the hole and fasten the lock actuator in place.

Chevy Express power door lock This door lock actuator is mounted in a 1999 Chevy Express Van. When mounting door lock actuators, care must be taken not to interfere with the window mechanism or any other moving parts.

Notice how this actuator is mounted partially on the door and partially in the hole. The supplied strap is used to span the hole and provide the 2nd mounting hole for the actuator.

This door lock actuator has been mounted in an access hole using the strap provided in the door lock kit. Notice the rod mounting clamp in the square hole with the arrow pointing towards it. Positioning the clamp in this hole simplifies tightening the clamps set screws.
