Replacing a cable style power window regulator
in a 1992 Nissan Maxima.

broken regulator and new regulator

With the regulator removed from the door, you can see the tangled cables.  Our new replacement regulator (p.n. REG406) is shown on the right.

Before installing it in the door, the motor must be transferred from the old regulator onto the new regulator.  Remember, we need the window in the lower position in order to attach the bolts.  Before the motor is screwed onto the new regulator the window mounting plate is moved to the approximate position that it is needed in.  These screws are tight, so get a good grip on your screwdriver!
